Ruovesi: Helvetinjärvi National Park

The park’s landscape is dominated by geological features created millions of years ago by mighty movements deep in the Earth’s crust. After admiring the rugged cliffs around Helvetinjärvi (Hell’s Lake) and Helvetinkolu (gorge) you can relax on the sandy lakeshore at Haukanhieta.

The marked trails are in the northern and eastern parts of the National Park. It is practical to start at the parking areas in Haukanhieta, Kankimäki or Haukkajoki (canoeing).

A variety of services available all year round: campfire sites, cooking shelters, dry toilets, a day-trip hut, camping sites for tents. Services of cooperating partners are also available.
